Due to C-19 we’ve not been out much with the cameras & drones so this week I decided to drive up and try for a sunset, I was very happy with the result 🙂
I met my Nephew up there who was doing some Time-lapse videos the old fashioned way, I’ve not seen the results yet.

Mazda Atenza (Dealers Edition)
I recently saw a video for a model car, similar to my car but NOT the estate unfortunately. I decided to buy one to see how good it was, here is the unboxing 🙂
Gorse Hall Primary School – BEE
Last year in May, I did some drone footage for a local school, but due to the headmistress panicking over GDPR I was never allowed to share the images but she’s now had a change of heart after realising how much she overreacted, the kids saw the video in Assembly and apparently they still talk about the day the guy came with the drone and made it fun 🙂
The footage was in remembrance for the bomb attack in Manchester at the Ariane Grande concert.
We had a great day, the children were so well bahaved and listened to what we told them regarding Drone safety and rules.
When I spoke to the staff this year they had lost the original DVD we made for them, so we have recovered some of the data from our old backups and put them on a new DVD this week. I am hoping we get permission to share the videos, for now here are a couple of images where no faces can be made out, so were safe to share 🙂

Henley on Thames
Last year I went to a funeral in Woking, I stayed in the beautiful Henley on
I flew the drone in-between rain showers, and here is the footage 🙂 I hope you enjoy it.

Out in our snow covered countryside.
Here in Manchester, England we had a bit of snowfall this week, so I took a bit of time off work to fly the drone over it. I managed to fly at Harsthead Pike without issue, but at Dovestones it was too windy to get the drone up unfortunately so I just took some photos instead.

I’ve not made any posters for a while so thought I would do one this evening 🙂

Birthday weekend in Wales
It was my Birthday on the 18th of July, so on the weekend we decided to have a few days in Wales and see some more of the beautiful Welsh scenery.
We visited Bala, Porthmadog, Ffestiniog (on the train and by car), Criccieth, Ruthin and various other places in-between.
On the way to Porthmadog, our first stay we called in to some fisheries we have visited before, and had lunch, we met a lovely older couple called Barry & Sue and ended up chatting for ages to them – It’s always nice to meet new people and learn about them (there was no space for them to sit when they arrived so we invited them to our table, a nice habit we have, and it has made us some great friends here and in Asia, you should try it 🙂 )
Here are a few photos and then a 9 minute video of the journey, from the train, the car, the drone and the DSLR.
I hope you enjoy the photos and video and look forward to your comments.
Dragonfly in the garden today
I was at work until this afternoon and decided to do a little gardening while the sun was shining. Imagine my surprise when I spotted a Dragonfly sat atop my now headless tulips. After a few minutes he was still there so the camera was grabbed, at this point it had my most used Sigma 18-70mm Art Lens installed, a few shots later, he’s still there, so then I ran in and grabbed my Canon 300mm Lens with IS, I cracked off some more shots and then decided to get the Manfrotto tripod and the 100mm Sigma Macro lens, these shots are of course the best. I managed to get very close to him, he flew off a few times but came back, I even got that on video but the lens was on auto-focus so messed up a bit. I have been back out to get some better video but he’s nowhere to be seen, I just hope he returns tomorrow 🙂

Haworth 1940’s Weekend
Last weekend (20th May 2018) at Howarth’s 40’s weekend, I was looking for this girl, I had almost given up on the hope of finding her when whilst sat having a brew, I noticed a girl behind my parents, I was not 100% sure it was her, so asked my Dad and he said he thought it may be her too, so I asked her, and YES, it was her 🙂 WOW, what are the chances? I now would like her to see this but forgot to ask her name – bloody crazy I know :p
The eye from the sky
We had a nice drive out on Saturday with friends while the weather was great.
We went to a place we found the weekend before on the way to Wales with lovely fields of Gold (I think it’s Rapeseed?)
This is my favourite photo of the day 🙂
